About Me.

First off, thank you for taking the time to explore if therapy with me is right for you! I am a social worker and therapist that holds my Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Toronto.  I have been practicing in this field since 2008, working in a variety of community-based and non-profit agencies.  I have a background in trauma-informed, attachment-focused therapy, and use a variety of modalities (see below).  I am passionate about supporting folks from all backgrounds in understanding and exploring the complexities of life and navigating the challenges that inevitably arise on this journey.

My Approach

I approach therapy like I approach life - understanding that the journey is messy, at times deeply challenging, often beautiful, and most definitely non-linear.  We need each other to get through it and healing always happens within relationships.  The therapeutic relationship is one avenue to receive the support and understanding we need to live our best lives.  I am here to listen and help untangle the often overwhelming web of emotions, behaviors, and thoughts that we all struggle with.  Together I work with folks to create a safe environment to simply explore - bringing awareness and compassion to the parts of ourselves that often go unnoticed or hidden, identifying patterns that may leave us feeling stuck, and recognizing the ways we cope with difficult feelings and situations.  Therapy is a completely judgement free zone where you are encouraged to be exactly who you are, focusing on your unique needs and working together towards your identified goals.
